The Project Team comprises a multidisciplinary group of experts including clinical molecular and medical geneticists, clinician scientists, computer scientists and bioinformaticians, software developers, biomedical, legal and ethics experts. The team members are also global leaders in Rare Disease (RD), database development and data sharing efforts, as well as the development of technical, ethical, security, and regulatory standards. The CGDC team was designed to complement ongoing national and international efforts, focusing on improving knowledge of human genetic diseases and the integration of tools and standards into a working system for practical use to enable the broadest possible participation in RD and cancer research in Canada.
